The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced purchase order to Lexis Nexis located at 1150 18th Street NW Suit 600, Washington, DC 20036. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The CDC has a requirement for Online Database Retrieval Services. The services are online electronic information database retrieval services for a full range of legal, legislative, regulatory, company and financial, public record, medical, news and current affairs information; to include service for case law, administrative decisions, statutes, regulations, law reviews, specialty publications; and service for national and international newspapers and other publications that cover general news, business, government, finance, politics, and technology. The following are selected specific databases with a broad collection of bibliographic and full-text databases in life sciences, including toxicology and environmental health and news databases required to be accessed by the Government under this service: All State Codes, Wire Services, Transcripts from National Public Radio and Television Programs, including CNN, EMBASE, Eventline, Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory, and Local and Regional Newspapers.
