ADDITION/REMOVAL OF PARTS FROM THE BASIC CONTRACT:
This provision provides instructions on modifying Attachment 7 (AF-managed landing gear parts) and Attachment 8 (DLA-managed parts) to include or remove items not specifically identified at time of contract award or subsequently rescreened and determined to be non-competitive. After determining a landing gear part(s) is suitable for inclusion (competitive with demand), the Contracting Officer (CO) will forward a draft contract modification containing an addendum to the applicable attachment soliciting ceiling prices and a not to exceed delivery days (NTEDD) for the part(s) to be added. The primes will respond within 30 days or, if needed, request the CO grant an extension. Upon receipt of the requested information, the CO will review the ceiling prices for reasonableness, request explanation/justification for any that appear to be too high or too low, obtain concurrence for any necessary changes and process the contract modification. The CO will process a unilateral contract modification removing any part(s) determined to be non-competitive or otherwise unsuitable for ordering under the Landing Gear Prime Vendor Contract (LGPVC).
