The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Applications Contracting Office (TAKO) has a requirement to provide Life Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS) for sustainment of United States Army, AN/APQ-174B Multi Mode Radar (MMR) Systems and subsystems. This support includes Depot Level (D-Level) maintenance, sustaining engineering, and spare/repair parts (including life-time parts buys) for the AN/APQ-174B Multi-Mode Radar (MMR) system installed on the MH-47 and MH-60 Special Operations Aircraft (SOA). The Government expects to award this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the authority cited in FAR 6.302-1(a) (2), Only One Responsible Source and no other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Raytheon Company, 2501 W. University Drive, McKinney, TX 75071-2813. Raytheon is the Original Equipment Manufacture, designer and developer of the Multi Mode Radar System.
The contract is expected to begin 1 January 2010 with a base year and four (4) options, with one-year options through 31 December 2014. The contractor shall establish and execute an obsolescence management program to actively monitor the AN/APQ-174B Bill of Materials to identify possible shortages and material obsolescence issues that could impact support of existing systems or production of future systems. The contractor shall provide all equipment, supplies, parts, material, manpower, and services required to sustain MMR Systems for USSOCOM. This Announcement constitutes a synopsis only.
