Combined Synopsis/Solicitation
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center – Pacific requires annual inspection and recertification of life rafts for the NOAA ship Reuben Lasker.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items/services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
(ii) Solicitation number NM-AN2120-21-00105 is issued as a firm fixed price, commercial, request for quotation (RFQ).
(iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-08.
(iv) The NAICS code for this acquisition is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing; the small business size standard is 1,250 Employees. This is a small business set aside.
(v) Line items are as follows:
CLIN 1: Transportation, inspection, and certification of six (6) Elliott SOLAS Style Mk III 20-person life rafts.
CLIN 2: Hourly rates for growth for additional work under conditions found report.
(vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: The vendor will provide for transportation, inspection and certification of life rafts. If replacement of equipment or additional work is required following inspection, a conditions found report will be provided for approval by the contracting officer. Offerors may be asked to provide hourly rates, price lists, or inspector’s certificate prior to award.
(vii) Date(s) and place(s) of service. Service shall begin on or around 11/23/2020 and be completed by 12/16/2020.
