ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the safety of swimmers and enforcement of established standards of conduct at City operated swimming pools. Enforce safety and discipline in order to prevent accidents; caution swimmers in unauthorized swimming areas, rescue swimmers in danger of drowning, administer first aid, including CPR, as necessary. Collect fees and accurately prepare a daily cash summary of funds collected. Inspect swim facilities for cleanliness, clean and refill pools as needed. Perform light custodial duties such as cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, mopping floors and emptying trash receptacles.
