NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT

US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) for a Bandwidth Upgrade at Lower Granite Dam. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

This requirement is to increase their internet speed and quality of telecommunications to meet current and future needs. The requirement is to run fiber from existing demarcation site in Pomeroy, WA, to the physical facility (Lower Granite Dam).

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 517311 and the size standard is 1,500 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 10:00 AM, Pacific Standard Time, June 19, 2018. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
