GENERAL INFORMAITION
Please provide a quote using the following grass seed mixture below. The 6,250 lbs. of Seed material will be delivered in 25 lbs. bags (250 total) on appropriate pallets for handling and shipping purposes.
Containers of seed shall be labeled in accordance with U.S. Department of Agriculture Rules and Regulations under the Federal Seed Act in effect on the date of invitation for bids. Seed shall be furnished in sealed standard containers unless an exception is granted, in writing, by the Contracting Officer. The seed shall be premixed into the mixture specified below. Seed shall be clean, with zero percent noxious weed seed. Each 25 lbs. bag shall conform to the following mixture.
PLS = percent purity (x) percent germination / 100
PLS = 95% (x) 85% / 100 = 80.75%
Great Basin Wildrye - Leymus cinereus (Magnar); 5 lbs. PLS/acre – 20%
Basin Big Sagebrush - Artemisia tridentata ssp. Tridentate ; 0.5 lbs. PLS/acre – 2%
Bottlebrush - Elymus elymoides; 5 lbs. PLS/acre – 20%
Sandberg Bluegrass - Poa secunda (Sandbergii); 5 lbs. PLS/acre – 20%
Snake River Wheatgrass - Elymus wawawaiensis (Secar); 5 lbs. PLS/acre – 20%
Streambank Wheatgrass - Elymus lanceolatus (Sodar); 4.5 lbs. PLS/acre – 18%

The responsible party shall provide all seed with individual seed tags specifying the purity, germination, weed-seed content, noxious weed seed content, and inert material. Minimum germination for all species as tested during the current calendar year shall be 85% with 95% purity. Maximum weed seed content shall be 2%, with 0% noxious weed seed content. If necessary, rice hulls may be added to the mixture to increase bulk and improve seed flow through the seeder.
A statement from the vendor certifying that each container of seed delivered is fully labeled in accordance with the Federal Seed Act. This certification shall appear on or with all copies of Invoices for the seed.
STORAGE:
Seed shall be kept dry at all times prior to shipping. Seed that has become wet, moldy, or otherwise damaged in transit or in storage shall not be acceptable.
