This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-11-Q-0688 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53, Defense Circular Number 20110819, Air Force Acquisition Circular 2011-0714.

Purchase the following:

0001- 4(each) Upgrade XTS5000 and add Over-The-Air-Rekeying (OTAR) and Over-The Air-Provisioning (OTAP).

0002- 35(each) Upgrade XTS2500 and add Over-The-Air-Provisioning (OTAP).

0003- 7(each) Upgrade XTS5000 from SmartNet (single-site) to SmartZone (multi-site) P25 9600-Baud trunking capability. Add Over-The-Air-Rekeying (OTAR) and Over-The-Air-Provisioning (OTAP)

0004- 58(each) Upgrade XTS5000 with Smart Zone (wide-area) P25 9600-baud trucking, AES secure communications (Includes AES refresh to enable encrypted data capability), OTAR and OTAP capability.

0005- 50(each) Upgrade XTS5000 with OTAR and OTAP (includes AES refresh to enable encrypted data capability) capability.


Description

1. Upgrade equipment with the latest Radio System Software (RSS)/Firmware Technology Refresh software released for the XTS500 and XTS2500 Radios.

2. Perform subscriber updates (operating software/firmware enhancements) published by Motorola under its Field Service Program.

3. Install upgrade features by using Motorola Original Equipment Manufacturing Software.

4. Radios will be upgraded, electronically realigned to factory specification, technologically refreshed and returned between six and seven work-days from date of receipt providing no major repairs are required.

5. Provide a standard warranty for all parts, software and labor for 90 days after equipment return shipping date.

6. The radio program (code plug) in the equipment when received will be re-inserted into the equipment after the necessary upgrades have been completed. In the absence of a code plug in the radio, download a generic template utilizing the latest Radio Service Software version for the equipment.

7. If the radio is still under Motorola Warranty/Service agreement, the unit will be realigned to factory specifications and an appropriate notion will be recorded on the service ticket. Otherwise an estimate for repair costs will be provided to the 355 CS and the radio will be placed on hold-status pending repair approval. If the radio is determined to be non-upgradeable, a fee will be charged to cover shipping, handling and inspection instead of the standard upgrade price.

 

Shipping will be FOB Destination to F1P34A- 355 SFS and F1P33B- 355 LRS DMAFB Tucson, AZ.
