The City of Riverside (“City”) is seeking a qualified entity or individual (“Company”) to locate underground utilities. The City anticipates selecting one firm to perform the services for both prevailing wage and non-prevailing wage projects. The work involves responding to all excavation notices received from the One Call Center for excavations within the geographic areas described in Exhibit D and marking facilities for Electric Utility, Water Utility and Sewer Force Main. This underground facility location service is vital to capital improvement construction projects and development-driven projects in the City. The City of Riverside averages 1,000 electric, 1,250 water, and 70 sewer locates per month, 9% of these tickets are Public Work Projects and fall under Prevailing Wage. Definition of a Public Works projects: construction, alteration, demolition, installation, or repair work done under contract and paid in whole or in part out of public funds. It can include preconstruction and postconstruction activities related to a public works project. For a full definition of public works refer to Labor Code section 1720. Proposals are requested from Companies that have a demonstrated ability to perform the tasks identified in this Request for Proposal (“RFP”).
