This is a notice to announce an upcoming Request for White Paper (RFWP) through the Sensors, Communications, and Electronics Consortium (SCEC) for the Development, Research, and Engineering of; Low Power, High Production Yield Digital Low Light Cameras effort. The overall goal of the Low Power, High Production Yield Digital Low Light Cameras is for a low light sensor solution with digital capabilities for enhanced nighttime situational awareness (SA) and future augmented reality (AR) efforts. Current digital low light imaging technology performance has improved to the point where it is relevant for military missions. This effort will develop manufacturing capabilities enabling production of low cost, high performance digital visible/near-infrared (VNIR) sensors capable of being digitally fused with low-power, longwave infrared (LWIR) sensors for target identification, marking, and handoff. The Government requests that the attached SOO should be released to SOSSEC as a RFI, to only those vendors with a current DD2345, as the SOO is FOUO
Additionally, we are requesting vendors to respond to the following questions: 1) Are they interested in participating, 2) request submission of vendor capabilities which relate to the requirement, 3) please indicate questions or issues found related to the draft SOO, and 4) please indicate business size status and traditional/non-traditional stats.
This request is issued according to the authority provided under 10 U.S.C. 2371b, Other Transaction Authority for Prototypes.
Only members of the Sensors Communications and Electronics Consortium (SCEC) in good standing are eligible to participate in this opportunity. If interested in becoming an SCEC consortium member, please visit the following link to the SCEC Website for membership information.
