The City of Statesboro desires to pre-qualify contractors for the renovation of two parks within the city including Luetta Moore Park and Rev. Kent Park. The City seeks to identify contractors to be pre-qualified to work with the City’s Project Engineer, Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions, in the preparation of final plans and specifications. The design of the project is currently at the 30% completion phase. The intent of the pre-qualification process is to expedite the overall timeline of the project. The goal of the City will be to request each pre-qualified contractor to submit bids for construction of the park renovations in February of 2021. The ultimate goal is to have both parks constructed for occupancy by July 1, 2021. Sealed Qualifications from potential bidders will be received by the City of Statesboro at the Brannen Johnston Municipal Court Complex, 22 West Grady Street, Statesboro, Georgia 30458, until 2:00 p.m., January 11, 2021, for the construction of park improvements located at Luetta Moore and Rev. Kent (Grady Street) Parks in Statesboro, Georgia. Luetta Moore Park is located on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at the intersection of Church Street. Rev. Kent Park is located on West Grady Street at the intersection of Parker Street. Proposals received after this time will not be accepted. At the time and place noted above, the qualification statements will be publicly opened and read aloud. Qualifications received after the designated time will not be considered. Contractor is solely responsible for timely method of delivery and confirmation of receipt prior to the date and time designated above for opening of bids. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on January 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Luetta Moore Park in Statesboro, Georgia and will conclude at Rev. Kent Park.
