Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is conducting market research for the procurement of parts to convert Rifle Combat Optics (RCO) with NSNs 1240-01-525-1648 and 1240-01-534-1114 (RCO A4 and RCO M4 respectively) to the RCO M7 with NSN 1240-01-645-3117.

The RCO is an optical aiming sight designed for use with the M16A4 and M4 service rifles configured with the MIL-STD-1913 Rail Adapter System. It attaches to the rail to provide the user a targeting tool to engage distant daylight and near low-lit targets with increased identification certainty. It also provides a uniform, calibrated means for orientation of unit fires by small unit leaders. It will be employed in all environments and missions in which Marine riflemen are employed.
