The Headquarters, Air Mobility Command (AMC), Communications Program Division (A6), Scott AFB, IL, requires Nortel Optera Metro 6500 edge devices in the design of a synchronous optical network (SONET), at an optical carrier level (OC) 192 at MacDill AFB, FL. The requirement identified the need for manufacturer specific equipment. General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service, Assisted Acquisition Services located at 1710 Corporate Crossing, Suite 3, O’Fallon, IL 62269, issued a solicitation to all the prime contractors on the Air Force Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) MAIDIQ Contract. The solicitation was issued on 3 July 2008 via the GSA Information Technology Solution (ITSS) procurement portal. The closing date for proposals is 30 July 2008. The Statement of Work and associated documents are available to the prime NETCENTS contractors via GSA ITSS in compliance with the fair opportunity requirements of the NETCENTS contract.
