SECTION 00 11 13 Advertisement for Bids Sealed bids will be received until the hour of 2:00 P.M., local time, November 9, 2023, at City Hall, Covington, Louisiana, 317 N. Jefferson Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 and online at www.centralbidding.com; for furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, etc., and performing all work necessary to complete the Magee Waterline Replacement, Project No. C0221, for the City of Covington, Louisiana. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud after 2:00 P.M. in the City Hall Conference Room, City Hall, Covington, Louisiana. Any bids received after 2:00 P.M. will be returned unopened. The Contractor shall hold a valid Louisiana Contractor’s license in the Municipal and Public Works Construction Classification. The work shall consist of installing a new 6” water main to replace existing 2” main on E Magee St. between Briggs St. and Lee Rd. Additionally, new fire hydrants shall be installed at intervals and locations along Magee St. in accordance with the City of Covington’s fire code. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held October 26, 2023. The meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. at City of Covington, City Hall Conference Room, Covington, Louisiana, 317 N. Jefferson Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
