NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE: The Contracting Office, Naval Hospital Bremerton, Bremerton WA intends to award a sole source FIRM-FIXED PRICE contract to CareFusion 211, Inc. to provide PC & Parts and required maintenance on the VMAX ENCORE 229C E & 62J SYSTEM located in the Respiratory Therapy Department at Naval Hospital Bremerton in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). This requirement is for one (1) base year with four (4) option years. CareFusion 211, Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the VMAX ENCORE 229C E & 62J SYSTEM has identified themselves as the only certified and authorized provider.

The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811219 with a size standard of $20.5M. The small business set aside has been dissolved. This requirement is unrestricted. No solicitation package will be issued. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirement above may give written notification to the point of contact no later than 8:00 A.M., (PST) on January 16, 2015. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
