The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, Maryland, intends to negotiate an option year maintenance agreement contract with two option years, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR Part 13.106 (b), with FujiFilm Medical Systems, Inc., for a FLA Imaging System and LAS 3000 CCD Imaging System. This maintenance agreement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). The sole source determination is based on FujiFilm Medical Systems, Inc. being the sole source for factory trained labor and technical services for all instrumentation manufactured and sold by FujiFilm Medical Systems, Inc. The period of performance for the required maintenance agreement commences on April 1, 2009 and ends March 31, 2010.

Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide compelling evidence that they can obtain/provide a maintenance agreement contract for the FLA Imaging System and the LAS 3000 CCD Imaging System.
