The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with AB Sciex LLC, 110 Marsh Drive, Foster City, CA 94404, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for one (1) each of the following items: Maintenance Agreement Renewal for 4800 Maldi TOF/TOF/Analyzer, serial #AK12820808. This instrument is comprised of multiple patented components and proprietary software applications, providing high resolution of proteins with sensitivity, selectivity, and reproducibility across a wide range of applications and sample types. This service will provide parts & proprietary software, which includes proprietary source algorithms necessary for proper instrument operation. Effective date: 12/25/10-12/24/11.
