The Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology (LCIM) conducts clinical and basic studies of human infectious and immunologic diseases, with a focus on the understanding and management of patients and their diseases. The program integrates clinical, cellular, and molecular investigations using both human clinical samples as well as extensive animal models. The following pieces of equipment are used by the LCIM throughout the year and regular preventative maintenance that is essential for keeping the systems in working order. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements.
