The National Naval Medical Center, Acquisition Management Department, Bethesda, Md. on behalf of the Lab. Department intends to award a sole source procurement to Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics for supplies/services for the Ortho Provue to include: Toll free 800 number, unlimited 24X7 equipment and reagent technical telephone support, unlimited replacement of non-consumable parts used in repairs, unlimited service visits, recommended preventative maintenance procedures, all health and safety modifications and software upgrades, in field assistance provided laboratory specialists, field service call back within 1 hour, emergency service scheduled by next business day. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate w/only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive bids. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Governmenrt. Award will be made using SAP.
