[NOTICE OF INTENT] - The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to solicit Kofax, Inc. on a sole source basis for the purchase of 12 Month Maintenance on Nuance Omnipage. Kofax, Inc. is located at 15211 Laguna Canyon Rd; Irvine, CA 92618.  SSA conducts this acquisition pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a single source, which states, “[c]ontracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization).”

SSA seeks a firm-fixed-price award for a one-year base period of March 13, 2020 to March 12, 2021.

This is not a request for quotation; rather, this posting constitutes SSA’s notice of intent to solicit on a sole source basis with Kofax, Inc. for the above specified requirement.
