This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation, 6.302-1, only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements for Maintenance of Abbott Medical Optics, IntraLase FS Laser, VISX WaveScan Wavefront Laser System. Maintenance to include equipment parts and AMO certified technicians capable of maintaining and repairing the stated equipment in accordance (IAW) the manufacturers literature (technical manuals) and recommendations. Maintenance is required for twelve (12) months. This procurement will be accomplished under FAR Part 12 and Part 15 Procedures.  The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219.

This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals.  Responses to this notification will be used to determine if a bona fide completion exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical information.  The Government will not pay for information submitted.  All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered.  A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice solely within the discretion of the government.
