Sources Sought Request to determine the interest and feasibility of potential vendors capable of performing maintenance on the Abbott Medical Optics (AMO), IntraLase FS Laser, VISX Excimer Laser System and VISX WaveScan Wavefront Laser System. The synopsis is for information purposes and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government, nor will the US Government pay for information solicited.  The information from this notice will help the Medical Center at Joint Base Andrews AFB, MD to plan their acquisition strategy or plan. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation exists at this time.  The 11th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews AFB, Maryland is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified businesses to provide preventive maintenance and on-call maintenance service for AMO Sales and Service technical laser eye equipment IntraLase FS Laser, VISX Excimer Laser System and VISX WaveScan Wavefront System.  Maintenance to include equipment parts and AMO certified technicians capable of maintaining and repairing the stated equipment in accordance with (IAW) the manufacturer's literature (technical manuals) and recommendation.  For this acquisition the NAICS Code is 811219.  All responding businesses are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business to this NAICS Code size standards $19.0M. Interested business responding to this market survey must provide a capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirement for the above IAW FAR 19.502-2(b).  The capability statement must include a list of 3 customers (Government/non-Government) within the past 5 years highlighting similar work in nature, scope, complexity and difficulty and a brief description of the scope of work.  Please submit all information to [email protected] by 2:00 P.M.
