The USDA, ARS, Western Regional Research Center, Albany, California has a requirement for a MALDI high-mass detector. This detector will be a technology enhancement for an existing Applied Biosystems AB Sciex 4800 MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometer. This feature must provide high-mass detection up to masses of 1000 kDa (i.e., 1 mega-Dalton). Retrofit package includes mounting flanges, high-vacuum chamber, high-vacuum motor, high-voltage power supplies, system controller, wireless iPod Touch Controller, software to operate high mass detector, user manual, and on-site installation and training (include costs for shipping/freight).
This solicitation incorporates the following commercial FAR clauses by reference 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. Funds are not currently available for this acquisition and award will be made subject to the availability of funds.
