Special Notice to award under Solicitation: W81K0218Q0005

Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) (1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Health Contracting Cell, Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price award under solicitation W81K0218Q0005 to Covidien LLC dba Given Imaging in the amount of $61,383.00 for (3) ManoScan® ESO-Z Esophageal Manometry Catheter Systems; for the Department of Gastroenterology Services / Madigan Army Medical Center Tacoma WA. This product will be used to assess bolus movement & motor functions in the esophagus, measured from the pharynx to the stomach, in pre-surgical cases of patients having swallowing issues, indications of a hernia or Achalasia. The manufacturer Medtronic is the OEM and maintains proprietary in distribution as the parent company of Covidien LLL dba Given Imaging through company letter.

This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications.
