The Mantis LC3 dispenser has extremely low dead volume of 6 uL and minimum dispensing volume of 100 nL. Transferring small volumes of reagents to the assay plates with the low dead volumes required, as well as allowing for the multiplexing of reagents for drug combination studies are required for the research. Formulatrix is the sole manufacturer of the Mantis LC3. The instrument and individual components are covered by several patents owned or exclusively licensed by Formulatrix.
