The 176th Mission Support Contracting Office - JBER, AK intends to solicit a brand name only requirement on GSA Advantage.  The requirement is for Massif brand layering system for flight crew.  The justification for restricting competition is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  This cold weather layering system integrates with already existing cold weather uniform items and is on the approved Safe-to-Fly letter for the USAF.  The Massif cold weather ensemble is the standard flying outer garment for the 210 RQS.

This is not a formal solicitation, nor is this special notice considered a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source or offerors are more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative response is received, the procurement will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
