NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to negotiate with Tesax Department of State Health Services, 1100 West 49th Street, Austin, TX 78756, a contract for National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Division of Reproductive Health.
CDC intends to procure services applying the simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 13, utilizing the sole source authority under FAR 13.106-1(b).
The anticipated performance period is a One year with Four Options. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 923120 with a standard size of 750.
This vendor will provide the Pregnancy Mortality data needed to identify deaths caused by pregnancy complications and describe their causes and risk factors. The government expects to receive the death certificates and all related fetal information for all women who die during or within a year of the end of pregnancy. CDC is not requesting competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services required are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than June 17, 2011 @ 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). Quotes are due on June 28, 2011 @ 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST)
The contract type is anticipated to be fixed price.
Determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the decretion of the Government. Respondents will assume all financial costs for preparing a response to this notice. The U.S. Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
