The Army Contracting Command - Redstone has a sole source requirement for the Maxillofacial Shields (MFS), part number A14138-2. The MFS is part of the Rotary Wing Helmet (RWH). The MFS will be fielding to a unit requesting additional MFS for all their crew members.
Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) this proposed contract action is for hardware for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiated with only one source: Gentex Corporation, 324 Main Street, Simpson, PA 18407, CAGE Code: 97427. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposal. This notice is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
