1. THIS REQUEST IS TO ESTABLISH A NEW MULTI YEAR PURCHASE CONTRACT(S) FOR THE PURCHASE OF ENCLOSED CARGO AND OPEN LIGHT DUTY TRAILERS. THIS IS TO REPLACE AN EXISTING CONTRACT EXPIRING MARCH 23, 2020. MDOT USES THESES TYPES OF TRAILERS FOR MAINTENANCE, REPAIRS, AND EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ON ROADWAYS, FREEWAYS AND FACILITIES STATE WIDE. HAVING THESE CONTRACTS IN PLACE REDUCES ADMINISTRATIVE TIME SPENT TO PURCHASE AND PUTTING NEW AND REPLACEMENT TRAILERS INTO SERVICE STATE WIDE. THE CONTRACT BID DOCUMENT AS WELL AS SPECIFICATIONS ARE ATTACHED TO THIS RQN.
