Special Notice 

                                                                    Metabolomic Analysis of Swine Tissue 

This is not a solicitation.  This is a notification of an intent to award a single source procurement under NAICS code 541715.  The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Animal Biosciences & Biotechnology Laboratory (ABBL) in Beltsville, MD will solicit and award a purchase order to provide Metabolomic Analysis of Swine Tissue. This will be done thorough analysis of metabolites present in plasma and tissue samples derived from the swine intestinal tract and feces, followed by quantification of these metabolites and statistical comparison of differences in metabolite concentrations between several treatment groups. *See SOW for additional information*

The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide this requirement.   

The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to Dilynn Rogers at [email protected] by 9/17/2021. Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirements.  Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since the synopsis is not a request for proposal.  

A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to [email protected] . No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by 9/17/2021 at 10:00 AM EST, an award will be made to Metabolon.
