Notice of Intent for Sole Source
Pursuant to FAR 13.501, the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Central Regional Contracting Office (SRCO), Fort Sam Houston, TX, intends to issue a sole source award to Cepheid., in the total amount of $149,869.40 for the purchase of Xpert MRSA, IVD, Xpert C, difficle/Epi, and Xpert MRSA/SA SSTI Reagents to test and detect Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus nasal and tissue clostridium difficle and Mycobacterium Tuberculosis complex. This contract will be for a one year supporting William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) Cepheid is the only manufacture and distributor of the required reagents. This notice is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability; and specifications within two (2) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
