The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole source blanket purchase agreement to Biomerieux, Inc., in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13.501(a), to provide reagents and supplies for testing patient samples that are compatible with the Vitek2 and BacT/ALERT 3D with Observa Software systems already in use at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center (WHASC).

This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the 502d Contracting Squadron's intent to issue, on a sole-source basis, a blanket purchase agreement to Biomerieux, Inc. However, interested parties may submit capability statements no later than 4:00 PM CST, 26 April 2016.

Under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
