This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a brand-only solicitation and has been justified by the Contracting Officer in accordance with FAR 11.105. This requirement is being solicited using the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13. CFTC has a requirement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for one year beginning on September 17, 2010. Support is required for all Microsoft products owned by CFTC during the performance period of the award. The requirement includes up to 150 hours of Support Account Management, up to 50 hours of Support Assistance, up to 35 hours of Problem Resolution Support, and 1 onsite Services Resource visit. The following clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors (June 2008); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications (August 2009), FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (June 2010); FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders (July 2010) including the FAR clauses cited in paragraphs (b)(20) through (26), (24), (34) and (39) of that clause. Only Microsoft and authorized Microsoft resellers will be considered for award. Offers must include all terms and conditions applicable to the contract. Proposals shall be firm fixed price for the period of performance indicated above. Selection for award will be based on the lowest price, technically qualified offer. All qualified sources are invited to respond and will be considered for award. Proposals must be received no later than 3:00 PM Eastern time on August 17, 2010.
