The City of Fort Myers invites licensed professional and qualified firm/team to serve as a program management entity, as defined in Florida Statutes 255.103(3) & 287.055, for the replacement of the aging infrastructure within the Midtown neighborhood bounded by Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard (SR 82), Fowler Street, Edison Avenue and US 41. Replacement of the aging infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, sanitary sewer, water mains, storm drainage, streets and sidewalks. There are streetscape elements that will be incorporated into the design including decorative sidewalk features, decorative streetlighting, street furniture, signage and neighborhood branding. One or more new lift stations are contemplated within the project area. The City is also exploring various smart elements to be incorporated into the neighborhood and complement our recently installed smart water meters including smart streetlights, bus benches, fiber optic network and signage.
