SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT

This notification is to announce the Mission and Installation Contracting Command's (MICC) - Fort Eustis, VA intent to issue a sole source contract to NIDA Corporation for the US Army Transportation School Maritime & Intermodal Training Department (MITD) Programmable Logic Controller Trainers (PLCT) Requirement. MITD requires thirteen "Programmable Logic Controller Trainers" for their Basic Electronic Maintenance Trainers (BEMTs) to support training on advanced electronic troubleshooting and maintenance (See Product Specifications attachment). This procurement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) and is under the simplified acquisition threshold. The applicable NAICS code is 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables with a size standard of 750 Employees.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and a solicitation will not be issued. However, interests or concerns submitted in response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirming written responses are received by 1:00 pm ET on August 18th, 2017, an award will made without further notice.
