This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis. It is intended as a method of informing potential contractors of a possible Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to supply MJU-71 Flares to both the USAF. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government.
The USAF is seeking potential contractors to become an approved source of supply for MJU-71, NSN 1377-01-590-4428 DODIC LA67 for an anticipated procurement. Flares to be supplied shall be form, fit, and function compatible to current existing U.S. Government requirements. Qualification requirements will be at the discretion of the USAF. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining industry interest in the upcoming procurement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary.
Armtec Countermeasures Company, Coachella, California is the only known approved source who currently has the knowledge, skills, facilities, and equipment required for this effort.
Firms responding to this sources sought notice are also requested to provide capability statements, which at minimum need to include:
*Company name & associated CAGE code
*Point of contact name and phone number
*Business status (i.e. 8(a), small, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.)
*Capability statement.
Interested offerors should respond to this synopsis with a capability statement within 30 days following the publication of this notice. A capability statement not submitted via ww.fbo.gov should be submitted via E-mail to [email protected] no later than 4:00 P.M. Mountain Standard Time (MST) on 24 August 2012.
Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation and will be posted to www.fbo.gov when it is issued.
