The Navy intends to award a sole source contract modification to add optional production quantities to already existing contract for the procurement of Acoustic Device Countermeasure (ADC) MK2 Devices. The Navy plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 30 July 2014. The ADC MK 2 devices are 3-inch acoustic torpedo countermeasures (CM) developed to fulfill SSN (666, 688I, SEA WOLF, VIRGINIA classes), SSGN, and SSBN (Trident) requirements for a CM to meet current and projected adversary torpedo threats. The Navy plans to pursue the award of a competitive contract in FY15. In the interim, to support fleet requirements, the Government has a requirement to increase the scope of the current contract for the procurement of 1,277 ADC MK2 devices. This is a sole source effort. This notice is for information purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation for bid/proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment of any kind.
