The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground – Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command (CCDC) Food Protection and Innovative Packaging Team (FPIPT), intends to procure on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, maintenance and support services for the MOCON Oxtran and Permeatran units. MOCON, Inc. located at 7500 Mendelssohn Ave. N. Brooklyn Park, MN is the only known source that provides maintenance and support for the MOCON Oxtran and Permeatran units.  A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued. This is not a request for quotes. No solicitation package is available. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
