The U.S. Department of Labor is seeking qualified Architecture and Engineering firms to provide design and construction administration services for the renovation of Buildings 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D and 1E at the Detroit Job Corps Center. We are looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. When submitting your response, please indicate under which programs you meet the criteria. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXISTS. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are small businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform this required work. The renovations and alterations to the Detroit Job shall address the deteriorated dormitory bathrooms; the Center’s deteriorated HVAC and domestic water systems and improvements to the electrical service system to reduce energy usage at the Center. The work required also includes provisions for improvements in dormitory room configurations, building finishes, structural modifications and site improvements in the form of connection of new sanitary, gas and electrical utility lines. In addition to design services, the work shall include construction document preparation, printing, bidding services and construction management services. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAISC) is 541310, and the Small Business Size Standard is $4.5 million.
