MODERNIZE THE ELEVATOR DRIVE AND CONTROL SYSTEM AT THE HILO AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER (ATCT), HILO HAWAII The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified contractors interested in providing offers for the Modernization of the Elevator Controller and Drive at the Hilo, Hawaii ATCT. This is an unrestricted procurement. All contractors who meet the go-no-go criteria listed below are invited to bid. The scope of work is as follows: Furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment, transportation, and service to modernize the Hilo ATCT elevator. Work includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing one elevator controller, drive motor and machine, landing system, door operator, rope gripper, cables, car operating panel, hall stations, seismic switch, traveling cable, wiring, car shell, and other related devices in accordance with the FAA specification. Upon completion, the new elevator controller, drive, and supporting equipment specified or shown on the drawings shall be complete, functional, and ready for use by the FAA. The construction site is located at the Federal Aviation Administration ATCT, Hilo International Airport on the Island of Hawaii, 96720 This is an operational air traffic control facility and the Contractor must exercise extreme care working in and around the electronic and environmental equipment. This procurement is set as Unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors The estimated price range of this project is between $200,000 and $500,000. Contract performance time is 70 calendar days and work days shall be Monday through Friday only. The contractor is expected to perform at least 15% of the work using its own employees. There will be one pre-bid/site visit on December 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM Local Time, in Hilo. The project is located on secured government property. Unscheduled site visits are absolutely impossible to accommodate. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar amount and scope in an FAA Air Traffic Control Tower b. The contractor or subcontractor must have at least five years of elevator installation experience within the past 10 years The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, along with a point of contact at the facility and telephone number. This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Solicitation Package is expected to be available the week of November 14, 2017. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than noon (CT) by November 9, 2017 and complete and submit the attached documents: 1. DOCUMENT SECURITY NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS 2. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
