Wednesday, January 26, 2022, 10:00 AM The District will conduct a pre-bid jobsite inspection tour to familiarize prospective bidders with the project site and conditions. The inspection will be conducted on January 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Bidders/bid walk attendees (Attendees) shall comply with the San Joaquin County health orders, which include but are not limited to, maintaining social distance and wearing a protective face covering. Attendees shall also cover their coughs/sneezes, practice hand washing, and shall not engage in physical contact. Attendees who disregard these health and safety requirements, as well as attendees who feel sick and/or have a cough or fever will not be allowed to attend. No more than two persons per bidder shall attend. Attendees shall assemble at Alpine Road and Eight Mile Road. This is the only time that the Mokelumne Aqueduct right of way will be open for inspection. The interior of the existing Mokelumne Aqueduct No. 2 will not be open for inspection. The pre-bid jobsite inspection tour will last approximately 1 hour. The Prime Contractor and its subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend the jobsite inspection where a "sign-in" sheet will be provided. Requirements of the District's Contract Equity Program including the Local Hire component will be discussed and explained at the jobsite inspection. Work includes removal of existing mortar lining and application of new 5/8" cement mortar lining for approximately 12,000 linear feet of buried 67-inch diameter (in place) steel pipe; removal and replacement of pipe spool piece(s), as needed for cement mortar lining removal and application work; installation of new aqueduct manhole(s) as needed for cement mortar lining removal and application work; construction of one concrete vault; renewal of 12,500 linear feet of access road.
