This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-37. Delivery and acceptance will be at Bethesda, Maryland. This is a small business set-aside. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on behalf of National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH) has a requirement for 15 Monkey Chairs to be used in structural and functional imaging in nonhuman primates. The chairs have the following requirements: 1) Can be used inside and outside the magnetic bore and 2) Fabricated with high-quality plastic and fiberglass parts. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, is applies to this acquisition. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items is applicable. Specific evaluation criteria are: (1) Ability to meet technical specifications and (2) Ability to deliver on time and within specification. Offers will also be evaluated on best value in relation to price. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The quotations are due October 30, 2009 3:00PM EST and will be submitted hard copy or electronically to Jasmine Snoddy, Contract Specialist, 31 Center Drive, Room 1B59, Bethesda, Maryland 20892.
