The proposed contract action is for an acquisition for which the DLA Distribution, New Cumberland, PA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to perform Motorola Radio and Network Infrastructure Maintenance Support Services for the existing communications infrastructure.

This acquisition is for a security communications, land Mobile Radio System to be maintained by an authorized dealer for Motorola and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1) (i), the services are available from one source in accordance with the agency's specific requirements for technical equipment and parts. Only Motorola Solutions, Inc. services will satisfy agency requirements for replacement items and/or network monitoring. Only Motorola is approved to work on their brand equipment. All portable and mobile radios will be serviced at Motorola's Maintenance Depot. Only Motorola will be able to supply the repair parts required to maintain the radio equipment as they are the original equipment manufacturer. Motorola does not have any distributors that would be able to perform the work required.

Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The contract performance period will be from date of award through one (1) year with four (4) option years.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811213 with a small business size standard of $10 Million.
