This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W81XWH-16-T-0058. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-78 are incorporated. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 334516, with a small business size of 500 employees. This is a Full and Open Competition requirement; all qualified vendors are encouraged to submit a quote.

USAMRAA on behalf of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), Silver Spring, MD requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing equipment that is brand name or equal to the Omnitech Electronics' SuperFlex Fusion Openfield mouse/rat caging system or equivalent.

2. Simple Windows XP/7/8 plug and play USB communication to eliminate RS232 hassles

4. Fusion Software to collects, stores, and exports exercise and coordination data for dozens of rodents per experiment
5. Software to track user supplied animal data such as Subject ID, Age, Weight, Sex, Type and Treatment Factors
6. Software design to ensure add-in variables, readouts and analysis methods
7. Post-experiment analysis capability to allow many analysis tools to be used on the same data file for various experiment designs
