The Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-266, intends to issue a new delivery order under Army BOA W58RGZ-12-G-0002 for commercial spares for the MQ-8C Fire Scout to Bell Hellicopter of Hurst, TX.
The contractor will be responsible for providing labor, parts, and materials necessary to manufacture and deliver spare parts and supplies in support of the Edurance Upgrade of the VTUAV MQ-8C Fire Scout.
The proposed contract action is for hardware for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, onle one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A), states services may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
