Montana State University College of Agriculture/MAES owns the property known as the Lutz (Springhill) Farm. It was previously leased to neighboring farmers, but more recently has been farmed by the MSU Farm Operations Management Team. Historically, the northwest portion of the property had been irrigated. Recently, no irrigation has taken place. The Lutz Farm is used for limited agricultural research, Commercial agricultural production, and more recently, a large amount of Foundation Seed production. A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be conducted at 7970 McGuire Rd., Belgrade, MT 59714 on March 31, 2020 at 9:30 am. In order to preserve historical water rights, and to enhance production, a decision has been made to install a center pivot irrigation system on the property. This system may be referenced as (CPIS). The attached RFP contains the specifics on the description and design of the system. Actual design and system components will be provided by the successful offeror.
