The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field FL intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to CRYE Precision, for Line Item 0001: Multicam Combat Shirts (MD,R-121)(MD,L-67)(LG,R-121)(LG,L-64)(XL,R-96)(XL-L-33)(XXL,R-14) (XXXL-R-4)- Total Quantity-520, Line Item 0002: Multicam Combat Pants (28R-4 28L-4 28S-4)(30R-14 30L-14 30S-10)(32R-109 32L-60 32S-60) (34R-109 34L-54 34S-44) (36R-14 36L-10 36S-10)- Total Quantity-520, Line Item 0003: Multicam Field Shirts (SM-R-12) (MD,R-160)(MD,L-35)(LG,R-160)(LG,L-30)(XL,R-18) (XL,L-15) (XX,R-12)(XX,L-12)- Total Quantity-454.
This award is restricted to CRYE Precision and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 315211 with a small business size standard of 500. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 13.501. The Government believes that the Fire Retardant G3 style fabric is a patented and proprietary commercial product that can only be acquired through CRYE Precision, and no other products are available that can support the same capabilities including improved comfort, performance, increased durability, built in knee and elbow safety and is interchangeable. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, interested parties shall submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, and 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services at or before 10:00 AM (central), 12 August 2011. Any information received will only be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. A firm-fixed price order will be issued in writing. Anticipated award is 12 August 2011.
