The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-07-G-0008 to the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, 401 Tiltrotor Drive, Amarillo, TX 79111 on a sole-source basis for Non-Recurring Engineering Effort (NRE) for the Multimode Radar (MMR) system on the CV-22 aircraft. This effort includes, but not limited to, confidence testing of eight (8) parts located within Multimode Radar (MMR) system utilized in the CV-22 aircraft (the impacted parts include Microcircuit, Linear, (156A) Operational Amplifier (P/N 0806518-0001); Microcircuit, A/D Converter, Monolithic Video (P/N 1993163-0011); IC, Digital, PAL (P/N 1994389-0003); Microcircuit, Digital, CMOS 32K X 8 SRAM, Monolithic (P/N 2692542-2008); Microcircuit, Digital, Memories EPROM (P/N2698606-0009); Microcircuit, Devices (IC), Digital (P/N 2699146-3001);MICROCIRCUIT, DIGITAL, MEMORY, RAM, STATIC (P/N 2698960-0005); MICROCIRCUIT, DIGITAL, MEMORY, RAM, STATIC (P/N 2698960-0001)), qualification testing, integration into the air vehicle, airworthiness substantiation for the MMR system, emulation of the Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) P/N SAM448-20TMB for the use in the MMR system and procurement of all parts necessary to support this effort. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tilt-Rotor Aircraft and is the only source that possesses the technical data and requisite knowledge of properly integrating aircraft components with tiltrotor technology.
