The Communications Satellite Program Office (PMW-146), on behalf of the ProgramExecutive Office Space Systems (PEO-SS) and the Joint PEO Joint Tactical
Radio System (JTRS) & its Network Enterprise Domain (NED) program office, is
hosting an industry day on the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) waveform.
The MUOS system was designed and is being built under contract N00039-04-C-2009
by the prime contractor Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company (Sunnyvale, CA).
The MUOS system is comprised of the UHF satellite constellation and its network
integrated ground system including the MUOS Common Air Interface waveform.
The MUOS capability will be delivered to the Warfighter via radio terminals
that are to be enabled with the MUOS waveform. Terminal production efforts are
not part of the N00039-04-C-2009 contract scope. PEO-SS/PMW-146 manages the
MUOS system, which is being acquired under contract N00039-04-C-2009. JPEO
JTRS manages the terminal development & production efforts and the NED program
office manages JTRS-related software efforts, which includes upgrading the MUOS
CAI waveform to be ported onto the JTRS terminals.
The industry agenda will include: MUOS system overview; MUOS waveform
description; terminal link budget overview; MUOS-capable terminal use overview;
procedures for accessing the MUOS waveform; and restrictions pertaining to
working with the MUOS waveform.
The industry day will be held on Wednesday, June 11th, 2008 from 0830 to 1400
at San Diego, CA office of the Accenture company, located at:

This briefing is ITAR sensitive and is open to U.S. citizens and private
individuals or enterprises eligible to obtain export-controlled technical data
in accordance with DoD Directive 5230.25, 16 March 1999 only.
Due to possible space limitations, attendance is limited to:
(a) viable, potential or current prime contractor terminal companies; and
(b) one viable, potential 1st-tier subcontractor software company accompanying
terminal vendors from (a) above.
Only two representatives from each company are permitted to attend. Depending
on the response level from industry and due to limited seating, the Government
reserves the right to limit attendance to one representative from each
company.
