The Veterans Health Administration, Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC),Seven Hills, Ohio, intends to sole source this procurement to American Medical Association. This procurement is for purchase of usage rights for the CPT Data Files from the AMA. The AMA is the originator and copyright holder for this information. The VA has purchased this data since 1987 and purchases the data annually for CPT changes and updates. While this product is available from other sources, it is typically reformatted and marketed for specific types of applications. Purchase of these files would require re-certification and specific licensing agreements. The VA uses the data as supplied by AMA and updates various HIMS applications. It is in the best interests of the government to continue to purchase direct from the AMA. FAR 13.106-1(b). NAICS 519130 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis.
